Changes to Grand Central Parkway Westbound at Exit 4

On July 31^st the DOT is implementing changes on Exit 4 of the Grand Central Parkway, which will now be configured as two lanes. The rightmost lane will be exit only, with the adjacent lane providing the option to exit or to continue on the GCP. Drivers approaching the eastbound BQE from Astoria Boulevard will now be required to stop and merge onto the BQE.This is a pilot program meant to reduce congestion on the westbound Grand Central Parkway.
