Separate Bike and Pedestrian Lanes on the Queensboro Bridge

Transportation Alternatives are asking that the Queensborough  Bridge outbound lower roadway exterior lane be converted from automobiles use to Pedestrian/Bicycle use. Currently the inbound lower roadway exterior lane is reserved for pedestrian/bicycle use. Transportation Alternatives feels that combining pedestrian and bicycle use in one lane is a safety hazard. This has to be weighed against the loss of more automobile roadway.
