“Wildfest” at Socrates Sculpture Park

Born to be wild? Then head on over to Socrates Sculpture Park on Saturday May 20 from 12 noon to 3 pm, for “Wildfest,” a new mini-festival that focuses on earth-based art and activities. There will be a Native American cultural presentation from the First Nations People of the Americas with Tecumseh Ceaser Matinecock, and Wampanoag Pokanoket and Chief Reggie Herb Dancer Ceaser of the Matinecock tribe Turkey Clan, with hoop dancer Donna Kolm and the Red Storm Drum and Dance Troupe. Other presenters will include SacredWaters, Tommaso Lana, Earth Living Skills, and Trees New York. This is a free community event and will be lots of fun for everyone!

Clare Doyle is a graduate of the M.A. program in Museum Studies at the University of Leicester, UK. She also holds a Graduate Diploma in Library and Information Studies as well as a B.A. in Archaeology and History from University Dublin, Ireland.
